When you come from a small country as mine, there is a very limited chance of being understood because when speaking the voice do not reach far. My country is a narrow land hidden in the middle of Africa, sometimes even difficult to find on maps. Many people are unaware of its existence as they are unaware of my existence too. For most of them it is of less importance what could happen to my country or to me.
Being a less important person from a less important country, there may be no reason of getting interested in my stories ,however I do have absorbing ones! Anyhow, Coming from a small or huge country, being weighty or less significant we all have something to say and every so often it happens that we feel misunderstood and then we feel like it is time to scream and shout so everybody can know we are important and we need to be perceived. Everybody has his own way of attracting attention: an artist who sprays paint graphiti on a public wall illegally, a terrorist who destroys the seven world trade center towers, a celebrity who is wearing in a terrible manner, a student who burns his school( an event that I can witness, this has happened in a school where I used to go), or simply a child who cries. In every of the above cases they are trying to be understood by causing scandals and it is a way of saying " hey there..I’m important and you better listen to what I have to say." Is this a good way of speaking loudly? Some people choose to just keep silent and others choose to speak silently. Writing is one of those ways of speaking silently, a mute way of speaking loudly. Writings goes beyond time and distance ..see I usually read USA magazines yet I’m in Africa ..and if my grand ma would have written a book henceforth I will not be wondering how it felt to be young in 30s now that she’s too old and everything is blurred in her memories. Back to my story, I feel important and everything that is mine is valuable for instance my country which is small but yet amazing, beautiful and full of mysteries. So I’m not keeping silent even if I seem to speak from so far I will speak loudly. This is my way of speaking loudly… Writing

My blog's name "ishyapluma" is made of two words ishya and pluma. Ishya from my mother tongue(kinyarwanda)means prosperity and pluma is a Spanish word for pen. Being very introverted, I started blogging because I was so inside my head and I needed a way to get out of it. later on, it became a way of reaching out to my audience. I now write to influence, to inspire and to give hope for a prosperous future to me as well as to everyone reading this blog. welcome to Ishyapluma! Contact: +250784266072 Archives
